Take 40 East toward Greensboro. Continue on 40 East to Exit #127 which reads Reidsville/Danville/29 North. This exit puts directly on 29 North. Go approximately 11 miles to the Summit Avenue Exit (Summit Avenue exit is directly after Hicone Road exit.) Off of the exit ramp, turn left crossing over Hwy 29. (There will be directional signs from this point and you are only 6/10 of a mileaway.) Once over the Hwy. and facing the stop sign, turn left onto Summit Avenue. Continue straight ahead past the Morrissette Company and Procter & Gamble Company. take a right on the next hard surface road which is Bryan Park Road (Central N.C. School for the Deaf entrance is on the left of Summit Avenue at the entrance onto Bryan Park Road). Continue straight ahead, do not make any trns, you will deadend into the front entrance, the Bryan Park gatehouse.

Alternate directions to Providence Day (both will get you there). Take I-40 West towards Statesville. Take I-77 South to Charlotte. 2 miles after I-85 joins I-77 take the W.Brookshire Freeway exit. You can stay in the right lane of I-77 and that becomes your exit. I think it is exit #11. On the Brookshire Freeway exit ramp, loop to the left crossing I-77. Take this a few miles and look for the LEFT exit of Independence Blvd. Take Independence Blvd. East towards the OLD coliseum. This is a big road now since it has been widened. You will cross several major intersections, cross Sharon Amity and your next big intersection will be Idlewild Road. Take a RIGHT on Idlewild Rd. Idlewild becomes Rama Road. Stay on Rama and cross over Railroad tracks. At the next big intersection, take a LEFT on Sardis Rd. School will be directly on the right. The entrance is on the right almost as you pass the school. Loop completely around the back of the school to the gym which is near the Rama/Sardis intersection. This way is more direct and keeps you from spending needless time on I-77. When you are returning home. Follow Independence back towards Brookshire Freeway and follow the signs to I-77. Keep a close watch for those signs, they will keep you from getting to the left and going downtown. Take I-77 North to I-40 East to home.

Turn left onto W. King St. Go about 1 mile to Goff Road and turn right. Go about one mile to Priddy Rd. Turn right onto Priddy and the school is on your immediate left. Follow the student parking signs to the fields and gym.

Take I-40 West to HWY 421 North – follow 421 for 53 miles (you will pass I-77 and drive through WIlkesboro) and turn right at the stop light onto HWY 16 North toward West Jefferson. Travel 3 miles and turn left at the stop light onto Boone Trail/Old 421. – Follow the signs to West Wilkes High School.
WILKES CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL
Take Bus. 40 West to Hwy 421 North Towards Boone. Take exit to Hwy 16/18 Lenior-Taylorsville. Take or stay right off the exit ramp. Get into your right lane because the road splits. Go through one red light and when the road splits, stay to your right. This will take you right in front of the school. Turn in the second exit of the school.

Exit from Business I-40 onto US 311 north. Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto GLADE ST. The Y is on 1201 Glade Street.
