Roses Club
Established August 2005
Moderators: Victoria Eaton, Danita McDonald
Approximately a “dozen Roses”, however others often participate in outside service activities
Purpose: service, the type that generally goes unnoticed
The Roses club is a service club dedicated to the life and ministry of St. Therese the Little Flower. We follow her philosophy that doing small acts of kindness works best to bring about the greater good. We are more than willing to do any service for the school, and are active within the larger community as well.
Service which has already been requested:
To maintain the scrapbooks for the development office.
We propose to continue to offer service to the school e.g. secretarial services, filing, etc.
We will sponsor a sale table at the November fundraiser for Catholic Relief Services which assists third world artisans. Additionally we will sell Fair Trade Chocolate as a fundraiser. This money is used to support various projects such as Heifer Project International. We traditionally choose a group to whom we send a surprise Christmas gift along with our prayer.
